Underground flow lines
Four flow lines that are completely underground are planned to transport oil, methane gas and LPG and bring water to the processing centre. These lines go from the Centre to the Sauro valley floor, following a route that is approximately 8 km long. The oil will be transported to the existing “Val d’Agri-Taranto” pipeline. The control and safety systems for this flow line will follow the same planning philosophy as for the existing pipeline to which it is connected. Methane gas will be supplied to the national gas distribution network. The LPG produced at the Oil Centre will be sent to the Guardia Perticara LPG storage facility.
